Hypnotherapy: Mind and body in balance / Mind over matter
Wriggle your toes. What are you aware of happening between the thought and your toes moving? You cannot will yourself to salivate, but you can make yourself dribble by imagining your favorite food. Trance is a very natural state. You have gone into trance many times without being hypnotised. When you drive your car down the familiar road and become so mesmerised thinking about someone or listening to some music, your conscious mind never notices some of the things you usually see along the way, and yet you are driving the car safely. Hypnotic state is similar, only it is induced and while in trance you are given positive suggestions that will affect your body positively. Hypnosis promotes relaxation, releases of tensions and increases your self-confidence. With hypno-healing - using your mind to promote health - you will be able to increase the speed of recovery for injuries and illnesses. I teach my clients self-hypnosis to use between sessions to make changes faster and permanent. It is a very valuable tool to have, particularly usefull for relaxation, to control worries, panic, fear and stress. And wonderful at helping you sleep. |
